The MP Traveling Wildcats is a Hilllside, Bellwood,Berkeley, Illinois community program that is coordinated by Calvin and Barbara (B. J.) Hightower.
The program began in 1989 with one team of boys. Presently, the program has five boy teams and four girl teams with over 300 participants. The teams play over 500 games in a season and have won many championships. The Wildcats league emerged from the desire to travel and expose our kids to a wide variety of communities, high schools, and colleges.
The program's vision is to provide a safe haven for young basketball players and encourage organized basketball with the concept of hard work, discipline, and determination on and off the court.
The MP Traveling Wildcats basketball program is one of the most reasonably priced programs in the Western Suburbs. It is supported by our Annual Tournament called the “Midwest Classic” held in January where over 75 teams participate in the tournament each year.
To close out our Season the Wildcats program will participate in an Out of Town Weekend Tournament followed by an Awards Banquet.

"There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results." - Kenneth Blanchard
